Baby Sprinkle
I'm so excited to be hosting a baby shower for one of my favorite people, alongside 2 other friends! Keri is having baby number 2 in June, so we're throwing her a baby "sprinkle", a new trend in the event planning world. A baby sprinkle is a smaller gathering in which people bring small gifts, and only if they choose...its really just an excuse to get everyone together and ooh & aah over the belly! We've decided to go with a "sprinkle" theme, centered around sprinkled sweets, clouds, & rain drops. Here's our inspiration board...

Here's an inspiration board breakdown...
1. Co-host Lacie found these absolutely great flower balls made out of crepe paper! We think they'll be cute hanging around the house as decoration, or maybe topping a vase as a centerpiece.
2. Lacie also loves making cake balls (score!) and plans on adding lots of sprinkles to stick with the theme.
3. I found this fantastic baby shower article on Fiskars through OhDeeOh. So many fabulous ideas using rain drops & clouds in your decor. I absolutely love the white poufs with rain drops coming out and cloud cupcakes!
4. Here are our invitations we found on Parents.com (found through HostessBlog.com) and edited in photoshop to match our color scheme. We also added our own to text to indicate it was a sprinkle.
5. These little favor bags were also found in the Fiskars article (which I edited in photoshop to match our color scheme). I love the little rain drops going down the front! They put lemon drops inside but I think white or pink gum drops would be so cute!
6. I wanted to do onesie decorating at Ashley's baby shower but unfortunately we just had way too many people coming to make it possible. Since Keri's sprinkle is going to a more intimate gathering (and most of her friends & family are crafty) I think it would be a perfect way to send Keri home with more cute clothes for baby Jade. We're also thinking about adding in headband making...because a girl can't have enough of those! (image found here)
7. Lacie also had the super cute idea of getting a cute picture of Keri and her preggo belly with an umbrella and maybe a hose over her, acting as rain, to frame as a decoration. Love it! (image found here)
8. The sprinkle starts at 11am, so we gotta have sprinkled donuts!! (image found here)
9. And milk! I'm loving the little milk jars with the striped straws...gotta have! (image found here)
So there you have it! Our plan of attack for Keri's baby sprinkle! I can't wait to see the end result, and most importantly to spend the day seeing old friends. :)

ahk! so cute! i can't wait i can't wait i can't wait! ps...my mom has a soft-serve ice cream machine (something that could be sprinkled :)) she said to just let her know if you guys wanted to have that up and running & also that the patio or kitchen/living room is open for whatever you guys want to do :)
ps...milk and donuts have been some of my top pregnancy cravings...good choice my friend, good choice.
Thanks Ker! I'm excited too...I'm thinking we need that soft serve ice cream machine! That would be so great...I hope the weather will be nice so we can use the patio! Tell your mama thank you & I love her! :)
